Psychotherapy

Therapy That Goes Deeper

Meir Hersh Brach is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in the Monsey area, offering psychotherapy to English- and Yiddish-speaking men. His work is focused on helping individuals look inward to find what holds them back from living the life they want, address those barriers, and grow into healthier ways of engaging with life's challenges. This takes place in a relationship built on presence, trust, and honesty. Over the years, he has helped men across a wide range of challenges and presentations.

Interpersonal
Challenges

He is experienced and passionate about helping men who struggle in their relationships and want to learn to handle relationships in ways that are meaningful, healthy, and mutually satisfying. This includes individuals struggling with communication challenges, anger, co-dependency, insecurities and trauma-related triggers affecting their relationships. In treatment, he helps them look inward to understand their interpersonal behaviors, what they react to, and how their responses affect others. Alongside that, he helps them work through the underlying barriers that hold them back from developing healthier ways of relating.

Unresolved Childhood Experiences

Another specialty of his is helping individuals work through the impact of difficult childhood experiences on their present life. This includes struggles such as self-doubt, shame, unhelpful ways of coping with difficult feelings, and a sense of isolation or feeling judged. Grounded in a real relationship, he helps them explore and process what was formed in the past and adjust how it continues to shape their present. Over time, this opens the door to greater confidence, emotional resilience, authentic connection with others, and a stronger sense of who they are.

Complex and
Deep-Rooted Challenges

He is also experienced in treating complex, deep-rooted challenges, including individuals who have engaged in therapy before without lasting change. Rather than assuming that one needs another strategy, the work addresses what's underneath, including what may be holding them back from changing and what may be holding them back from engaging in therapy in a meaningful way. Over the course of treatment, the client gets to work through ways of coping and relating that developed in the past and continue to contribute to distress and feeling stuck in the present.
